From childhood dreams to conscious movement
The Story Behind Motion Manœuvre
The roots of Motion Manœuvre lie in the childhood of the founder Richard Andreas Matthias Schepky, who learned his love of craftsmanship from his grandparents in the Kaiserstuhl, near the French border.
During the holidays, he observed them sewing, embroidering and repairing garments – a place where sustainability was not just a trend, but a necessity.
Here, alongside Lego and nature, Richard learned through play how to shorten trousers, sew buttons back on and transform simple clothing into individual pieces.
This creative streak, combined with his later aversion to fast fashion and inferior materials, laid the foundation for Motion Manœuvre.
